Al Ain City
Al Ain is a city in the emirates of Abudhabi in the United Arab Emirates. It shares a border with the country Oman. Al Ain zoo is one of the famous tourist destinations here.
Al Ain means spring in Arabic so, as the name indicates Al Ain is the most greenish city in the United Arab Emirates. People from Kerala may feel like home when they are on a visit to this beautiful city. It is known as the garden city due to the palm groves, greenish nature and natural springs.
Al Ain is the second largest city in the emirates of Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Khalifa mosque is the oldest mosque in the country, which is located in Al Ain and Jabel Hafeet is the highest mountain in the country, is also situated in Al Ain.
The city has the highest annual rainfall and lowest humidity during summer rather than any other cities in the country. Because of the cool climate and greenery, it becomes a favourite destination for many people who visit the country. Al Ain is the only site in UAE, which was inscribed on the UNESCO’s world heritage list.

Al Ain Zoo
It is the largest zoo in UAE, opened in 1969. It is a true family trip destination, where people gets plenty of learning experience and entertainment in a natural environment.
However, visitors of all ages found this place packed with fun and adventure. There is around 4000 animal collection in the zoo. Such as a variety of endemic mammals, big cats, monkeys and reptiles etc can be seen here.
Since the day of establishment, it has been given much importance to the endangered species conservation. This zoo is well known for its research facilities like breeding of endangered native animals such as Arabian oryx. The authority says more than 30% of this zoo population is on the endangered list.
Al Ain Safari is the latest attraction in the zoo since 2016. African and Arabian Gulf animals can be seen live when riding through the safari by jeep or truck.
