Dates Fry

Dates are the super food for people who has less haemoglobin count in body. Here I am sharing my favourite dates recipe known as eethapazham porichath in Malayalam/ Dates fry. This is a super tasty snack popular at northern Kerala.

Ingredients

  • 15 No Dates     
  • 1 cups (180ml cup) All purpose flour   
  • 1 tbsp Wheat Flour
  • 4 tbsp Sugar
  • A pinch Salt 
  • ¼ tsp Baking Powder
  • A pinch Turmeric Powder 
  • 1 No Egg
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder 
  • Oil
  • Water

Instructions

  • Add All-purpose flour, wheat flour, egg, sugar, salt, baking powder and turmeric powder in a bowl mix well by adding water to make a thick paste.
  • Add dates in the batter and mix well. let it rest for an hour.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan, and deep fry the dates coated with batter. Yummy dates fry then ready to serve
